It's one of the most popular TV shows around, but there's no denying that Love Island divides the nation with its controversial scenes. After Sherif Lanre was removed from the villa last week for 'breaking the rules', over 500 viewers then complained to Ofcom when Maura Higgins made an advancement to Tommy Fury.
As if that wasn't enough, even more viewers of the show then complained when Joe Garratt told Lucie Donlan she was spending too much time with the other boys, with many calling his behaviour 'controlling'.
Now, as both Joe and Lucie risk being dumped from the villa, domestic abuse charity Women's Aid have expressed their concerns for Lucie.
Adina Claire of Women's Aid said, "Controlling behaviour is never acceptable. With Love Island viewers complaining about Joe's possessive behaviour towards Lucie, more people are becoming aware of this and want to challenge it.
"Abusive relationships often star off with subtle signs of control."
After a number of fans of the show reacted negatively towards Joe, with former Islander Malin Andersson begging bosses to check Lucie is 'ok', an ITV spokesperson said, "We take the emotional well-being of all the Islanders extremely seriously.
"We have dedicated welfare producers and psychological support on hand at all times who monitor and regularly speak to all of the Islanders in private and off camera, especially if someone appears to be upset. All the Islanders are therefore fully supported by the professionals on site and by their friends in the villa. This means Islanders are always able to reach out and talk to someone if they feel the need. We will of course continue to monitor all of our Islanders in line with our robust protocols.

2 of 8No getting drunk
According to 2017 contestant Kem Cetinay, contestants are allowed one small glass of wine or beer a night with dinner.Being drunk's an absolute no-no, so sex while intoxicated is obviously against the rules too.
3 of 8No masturbating
No solo sex acts are allowed in the villa, though obviously allowed to get jiggy with their partner.
4 of 8No nudity
Contestants cannot be naked in front of other islanders, since the villa is technically a public space.
5 of 8No books, phones or magazines
The islanders are given snazzy phones from their sponsor, Samsung (what else would they get their texts on?); but anyone sneaking their own mobile phone into the villa would risk being removed.Same goes for books and magazines, too.
6 of 8No inappropriate language or behaviour
This could cover homophobic, racist or aggressive language and is quite the broad rule. Inappropriate behaviour is again at producers' discretion, and would include violence and sexual harassment.
7 of 8No discriminating against staff
Any Islanders who are rude to crew could run the risk of being booted off the show, and contestants must NOT take their mic packs off unless instructed to.
8 of 8Follow the rule book
Simple. Contestants must obey the rule book they're provided with; which includes information on safe sex, consent and how to know if you're following the guidelines.
Meanwhile, it could be the end of the road for Joe and Lucie's relationship, as viewers were asked to vote to save just ONE of them during last night's show.
As well as Joeand Lucie, Anton and Elma were voted as the least compatible couples by their fellow Islanders, with Iain Stirling telling viewers to vote for ONE person to save in EACH couple.
