We absolutely love a secret Love Island connection here at heat and, from Jacques O’Neill being Gemma Owen’s ex to Billy Brown’s pre-villa romance with another bombshell, this series of the ITV2 show has provided loads.
However, none of the Islanders who knew each other before the show have shocked us quite like the latest revelation…
Tasha and Georgia became friends at Thirsk Secondary School in Yorkshire and were both part of the same local dance troupe.
A source close to the pair explained, “Tasha and Georgia were honestly inseparable and just best friends throughout school. They loved drama and dance. They pushed themselves to be the best.”
However, their friendship hit the rocks when they began applying for dance colleges.
“Things got a bit competitive towards Year 11 and then when Tasha got accepted into a better dance college than Georgia things turned bad. They were so young when this happened. And it's sad because everyone back home is really proud of how far they've come and we're all cheering them on,” the source told The Sun.
"Stuff happens when you're young but we hope they patch it up because they could be a huge support for each other."
It was previously revealed that Georgia herself had a secret connection to a former Islander as none other than series three winner Amber Davies put her forward to appear on the show after they met on a night out.
“I saw her in a bar and she said to me, 'Can you put me forward?' I said, 'Yeah, that's fine, I'll do it,” Amber explained during an appearance on Lorraine.
“Her mum just said to me it was actually me, then I put two and two together. It was perfect. I'm a little scout. ITV need to give me a job."
