We've finally found out the reason behind all those cryptic those 'WOM' comments that are appearing all over TikTok, and the meaning is actually... surprisingly simple.
After absolutely racking our brains trying to figure out what WOM could possibly stand for, we reckon it could be one of the following: "work out motivation" (because who doesn't need a bit of that?), "word of mouth" (all about the gossip), or "walk over me" (an alternative to the TikTok coined compliment "step on me").
With a huge debate dividing the internet as to what these comments mean, we've found some possible solutions. Let's run through the most widely used TikTok abbreviations, acronyms and slang; juuust to refresh your memory...
1. What is the strawberry question on TikTok?
TikTok is THE place to be if you're one half of a smug couple and want to broadcast your relationship to the worldand the so called strawberry question is yet another trend to facilitate exactly that.
Here's the deal: a TikToker will ask their S/O (significant other, FYI) a series of questions, starting with, "If you were walking past a strawberry field, would you take a strawberry and eat it if you were really hungry?”
This is then followed up by asking "How many strawberries would you take?", and "If there was a fence, would you climb over it?"
The trend is supposed to be a "test" to see if their partner would cheat. Saying yes to picking a strawberry means, obviously, they'll inevitably be unfaithful. Picking more than one AND jumping a fence to get them? Well, you've got a serial cheater on your hands who'll take risks and overcome obstacles to get that extra-curricular nookie.
Best get out while you still can, hun.

Ok, so after some extensive research we've finally found the origin of WOM. All thanks to Ava, a 17-year-old YouTuber who makes Minecraft gaming content, the word began appearing all over TikTok comments everywhere. So, what does it mean?
There was a LOT of speculation from the fanbase of @AvaJC about what WOM could actually stand for, with some fans thinking it was a reference to her favourite game Minecraft.
Users commented that the phrase could stand for "world of Minecraft", "women of Minecraft" or "we own Minecraft" to name a few, but the real meaning behind the word has only recently been confirmed by the creator herself.
While the meaning of WOM is still shrouded with mystery (oh, the drama), Ava herself has promised that as soon as she hits 100k subscribers on Youtube and 200k subscribers on Twitch she'll reveal the answer.
In fact, only recently Ava and her fanbase attempted to break a world record by topping the most comments on a TikTok video.
To beat it, Ava and her fans started a comment chain which consists entirely of WOM. Currently the world record stands at 4.7 million comments.
