Big Brother: No, you won’t believe which housemate is ‘not buying the Nathan and Baked Potato stuff’

Nathan and Baked Potato have struck up a house romance

We'll be honest, this year's Big Brother took a while to heat up.

While last year's series opened with a bang (literally - remember Jenkin Edwards' suitcase?), the 2024 edition took a while to reach our expectations (cause come on now, we're heat magazine – we're like the Big Mummy of Big Brother). But now, as the series enters its third week... well, the word is peak. And that's mainly to do with the unexpected telly romance literally no power on this Earth could've seen coming between Nathan King and Baked Potato.

P.S. ITV, if you're reading this, a spin-off reality show where Nathan has to win over Baked Potato's mum (a Labour-loving liberal) would go down a real treat in January or February when telly's a bit Tommy Tank (thanks to Marcello Spooks for reminding us of that one).

There's a million and one reasons the BB fandom never saw this Nathan x Baked Potato romance coming, but who cares, because it's set a fire under all of our arses, just when we needed it. Suddenly it's all we care about.

ICYMI, the two housemates recognised something sexy in one another last week and decided that they would keep their blossoming romance under wraps until they were off the telly. THEN – and it's a big, loud, screechy 'THEN' – Lily Benson got wind of it and basically told the entire house. Which actually, has arguably encouraged the two to just chill out and see where the vibes take them (you know, live on Big Brother, please do not swear).

While some fans are totally here for this 'opposites attract romance', others are not buying it - one of which is Big Brother 2023 winner, Jordan Sangha, apparently.

Which is, frankly, WILD to us.

As, lest we forget, this is the same Jordan Sangha who formed a relationship with fellow housemate Henry Southan, at a time when a huge chunk of the fandom – and many of his housemates – made it very clear that they were not buying it; with some even going as far to call it a 'showmance'.

And to be fair, FAIR, because Jordan was cleary into Matty Simpson for a TIME.

Jordan and Henry ended up proving all of them wrong, as a year later they are still together and as wholesome as ever.

So can someone please explain to us how Jordan – an individual who understands the complexities and nuances of a Big Brother romance better than anyone – is 'not buying the Nathan and Baked Potato stuff'.

Sharing a snap of himself with his head in his hand on his Insta story, Jordan wrote, 'I'm not buying the Nathan and Baked Potato stuff.'

Yep. He said that and we're genuinely stunned because that is literally what thousands of fans said about him and Henry this time last year (not us btw, we immediately bought a hat).

Woah, unless Jordan really is an expert on Big Brother love stories and is seeing something we're not when it comes to Nathan and Baked Potato.

Although we hope that's not the case, as we've just realised if Baked Potato takes Nathan's name when they get married and live happily ever after, her full name will be Baked Potato King which is just iconic.
