Given that they get to spend all day having fun in the sun and flirting up a storm with other hot singletons, we thought that the Love Island lot would want to stay in the villa for as long as possible.
However, it turns out that that’s not always the case as some Islanders have left the show of their own accord. It was just weeks ago that Uma Jammeh quit Love Island 2024 to leave with Wil Anderson and the likes of Love Island 2022 star Liam Llewelyn and Love Island 2019 legend Amy Hart have all walked from the villa before.
While Uma was the only Islander that quit the villa this year, finalist Jess Spencer has revealed that plenty of the other contestants thought about it.
Jess joined us at heat Towers with Ayo Odukoya last week for a post-villa catch-up and when asked if she ever thought about packing her bags and waving goodbye to the villa, she admitted, “Yeah,” as Ayo burst into laughter.
“But I feel like everyone has been through that,” she added.
“We were like, ‘I’m walking, I’m leaving! Get my suitcase, I’m gone.’”
It wasn’t all bad though as Jess continued, “But, you know, it passes. It does pass. The highs are very high and the lows are very low.”
She added, “But I would do it all again and I’m glad that I didn’t quit.”
For what it’s worth, we’re glad you didn’t quit too, Jess.
It’s fair to say that Jess had a difficult start to villa life after entering as a Casa Amor bombshell. She quickly sparked a connection with Ayo, but things got complicated when his former partner Mimii Ngulube returned to the main villa single.
Jess later admitted that she felt a bit awkward when Mimii and all the OG girls came back to the villa and it was later reported that Jess Whitehad made her cry.
However, Jess S was quick to clear things up in our exclusive interview.
"I had no idea what that was about," she told us. "Jess literally came up to me and was like, 'This is what has been said' and I was like, 'What?'
"She never made me cry and Jess and I always got along. I think she's a lovely girl. There is literally no tea, no beef, no shame with me and Jess."
