Okay, let's rip the plaster off: Love Island's Jess White was an icon on Love Island 2024. Haters, our DMs are always open.
Despite getting the infamous 'villain' edit for her turbulent relationship with 'frenemy' Harriett Blackmore on this summer's series, we hate that huge chunks of the fandom are ignoring the facts when it comes to this OG.
And these are the facts; she knew what she wanted, she was honest and true to herself, her facial expressions basically made our Picture Editor's summer, and above all, she took absolutely zero sh*t in that villa.
So yeah, if you ask us, 'villain' is a pretty strong word – it was a strong word for Olivia Hawkins and Coco Lodge, too, btw. We'll accept 'anti-villain', how about that?
To be fair, Jess was giving 'villain' stylistically and sartorially on the show – like an Elvira/Morticia Addams/Hela hybrid giving summer a go, and those vibes have become even more apparent following a recent hair transformation that has given Jess total "Morticia Addams" hair and it's obviously a click click from us.
The Love Island OG took to her Instagram grid this week to show off her new jet black "bangs and butterfly" look and naturally, fans are loving it, with one follower commenting, "You look like Morticia Addams," and another writing, "New character unlocked."
Side note, we decided to give 'Morticia Addams' a little Google while writing this story, as we realised that Jess really does give off those vibes and we stumbled across something WILD.
Naturally, Google pulled up a load of snaps of modern-day Morticias like Catherine Zeta-Jones and Anjelica Huston, but there was actually another Morticia portrayed by the late Carolyn Jones way back in the 1960s for the black and white TV show and she is THE SPIT of our Jess.
Like, they could actually be the same person?
Spooky.
Jess was an OG Islander on Love Island 2024. She entered the villa on day one and was dumped on day 38. Jess was coupled up with Ronnie on day one and the pair formed a connection. This connection was soured when Ronnie had his head turned by Harriett.
On day 11, Jess chose to couple up with Sean Stone, but this, predictably, turned into a friendship couple virtually overnight. She then chose to couple up with Joey Essex, followed by new boy Trey Norman.
She met Hugo Godfroy in Casa Amor and chose to bring him back to the main villa. They remained coupled up IRL for a few weeks after their dumping, but split following news that Hugo had been caught snogging Love Island 2023 bombshell, Charlotte Sumner.
While Hugo released a statement wishing Jess well, Jess has remained tight-lipped on the split.
WATCH: Wait, what? Joey Essex almost picked Jess?!
