We are still reeling from the final of the very first Love Island: All Stars, and honestly, we could have watched that group of Islanders for another eight full weeks.
This series of All Stars was full of drama and twists the likes of which we’d never seen before - including the savage decision to bring back all of the dumped Islanders to vote off a couple right before the final.
This episode was tense, and although it looked like Georgia Harrison and Anton Danyluk’s time in the villa may have been coming to an end there and then, the Islanders ultimately chose to dump Arabella Chi and Adam Maxted. Needless to say, Arabella was not happy about this decision. While they were the newest couple out of the group, she and Adam had only left the hideaway about five minutes before this dumping, so it was pretty rough timing.
One of the Islanders who voted for Arabella and Adam was Joanna Chimonides, which caused a stir as she and Arabella were particularly close in the villa. We sat down with Joanna for heat’s Under the Duvet to see if the girls had managed to squash their beef, and found out that there had, in fact, been an unaired hashing out.
Joanna said, “I did speak to her after about it when we were in the holding villa before going into the main villa for the final and I just said that I actually didn’t see any of the episodes where they were in the hideaway, her and Adam, I didn’t see any of that.
“For me, it was really hard because I’d seen the journeys of the other couples, so… this couple that I’ve not even seen much about, because I’ve not watched the episodes, to put them through compared to the others, it was really hard for me.
“We spoke about it afterwards, we made up. Well, not made up, but we kind of cleared the air a little bit.”
This sounds vaguely squashed, so for now we’re satisfied. However, we would have loved to see that holding villa conversation. Our note to the Love Island producers: get some cameras in those holding villas ASAP so we stop missing behind-the-scenes drama.
