If you're casually perusing our website then you probably won't need us to tell you that last month Love Island: All Stars finalists Georgia Steel and Toby Aromolaran called it quits on their relationship. The duo had a summer fling during their time on Love Island Games and rekindled the romance on the All Stars spin-off where they ended finishing coming in fourth place.
But it was a short lived romance as Georgia took to her Instagram account on Wednesday 20 March to confirm that her and the Love Island 2021 bombshell were no more.
Georgia told her followers, "After seeing the reports regarding my relationship with Toby I feel it's only right for me to be transparent and truthful with you all. It is true Toby has called things off. It has taken me by complete surprise and I'm still trying to process it and come to terms with it all. They say some people are in your life for a lifetime and some just for a chapter ❤️."
Since then, both parties have remained fairly quiet and kept out of the public eye.
We adore both Toby and Georgia, so when we got the chance to catch up with their besties Kaz Kamwi and Chris Taylor – who are promoting the release of Barbie on Sky Cinema – we just had to ask how the Love Island young'uns were doing.
Kaz, who is particularly close with Toby, told us, "Do you know what? Relationship break-ups always suck. He's just taking it. Toby's just Toby, isn't he, though?"
Chris responded, "Toby's very resilient; so is Georgia, to be honest. They've both been through a lot of stuff in their lives. They're pretty used to having to deal with this stuff in the public eye. Considering they're both really quite young – to me anyway – the way they're dealing with it [in their] mid-20s is not the way I'd be dealing with it in my mid-20s. It's a good job I'm 33 really. They're both very mature and dealing with it really well."
When asked whether they had spoken to Georgia recently, Kaz told us, "G's cute, I feel like coming out [of the villa] is a lot. But I think she's handling herself really well."
Bless them. We're sending positive vibes and oodles of heat love their way.
Barbie and Sky Cinema recently whisked Chris and Kaz – who were in a friendship couple in the All Stars villa – away on a romantic boat ride in Southampton (not exactly that mountainous South African aesthetic, eh?).
Chris – who who also spoke to heatworld about he and Joanna Chimonides "abruptly" ended things IRL – told us, "It was a great day, actually, so obviously we went on the boat to do the Barbie and Ken scene when they go into the real world and it was a bloody lovely day. It was very Barbie-esque, very pink and joyous and they let us drive the boat which was pretty sick. All in all, it was a fantastic day. Kaz’s experience of driving the boat was slightly more terrifying than mine."
Barbie is now available to watch for all existing Sky Cinema customers at no extra cost
