We all know and love her from Love Island, but Molly Marsh’s latest career move has seen her venture outside of reality TV and into the world of pop superstardom.
ICYMI, Molly has just released her debut single, Werewolf, after being scouted by music industry bigwigs following her performance on Britain Get Singing alongside fellow Islanders Davide Sanclimenti, Jacques O’Neill, Marcel Somerville, and her boyfriend Zach Noble last Christmas. Oh, and it’s an absolute banger.
The Love Island 2023 star has been hard at work in the studio writing and recording the song and it turns out that Zach played an important part in bringing the song to life in a way you might not expect.
Speaking about how Zach’s been supporting her behind the scenes, Molly exclusively told heat, ‘Zach has been a massive support through everything. He’s been helping me with lyrics, which is crazy because this is all about guys I met before Zach.
‘He’s been helping with all of that, also the cover photo with ‘Werewolf’ written on my back, he wrote that. That took some time with that paint and that was a bit of a mess. He actually wrote the title, which is really special to me.
‘He’s been so supportive. He’s honestly been amazing.’
The inspiration for the song, Molly says, is ‘men with bad intentions’. She explained, ‘When you're dating it's just so frustrating because you might like someone and then they don't talk to you through the day and then suddenly they just want to talk to you at night.
‘Someone mentioned, ‘Yeah, you know, like a werewolf,’ and I was like, ‘That was cool,’ so we wrote it down and we went off that.’
Someone who most definitely isn’t a werewolf is Zach. He and Molly have gone from strength to strength after rekindling their romance back in May after a brief split and they’ve taken some major steps in their relationship, including moving in together.
The couple have certainly defied expectations, with Molly admitting, ‘You get called incompatible and [told] you’re from different worlds so many times. It’s like, how many times can I hear this? People not actually understanding how we feel.
‘I think at this point I can breathe. What we said all along is hopefully showing through because I think people did underestimate us at the beginning.’
Molly's debut single Werewolf is available to stream and download now via Four44 Records.
