Just when we thought we couldn't get any more hyped about the new series of Married at First Sight, a Love Island legend goes and casually lets slip that they are MAJORLY involved in MAFS UK 2024.
Okay, not as major as doing a Joey Essex and slow-mo walking on to the dating show as an absolute mic-drop of a surprise bombshell (or an intruder bride in the case of MAFS), but still. We had absolutely no clue she even watched the show let alone apparently now works on it.
And when we say Love Island icon, we do, in fact, mean Love Island ICON, as none other that Love Island 2021 finalist Chloe Burrows has announced an exciting new gig with those telly geniuses over MAFS.
But, as much as we adored Miss Burrows on Love Island all those summers ago, we have a feeling it's her performance on her new-ish podcast, Chloe vs The World, that might've landed her this coveted MAFS gig, as she has signed up to host the MAFS UK official podcast for the forthcoming season.
Okay, we'll be honest – we had no clue such a podcast existed. Gulp.
Not only does it exist, but MAFS UK: It's Official! launched ahead of MAFS UK 2023 last September and was originally hosted by Heart Radio presenter Yasmin Evans. For alleged showbiz journalists obsessed with MAFS, this is downright embarrassing, and we hang our heads in shame.
But it seems we're hopping on the train, just as Chloe has agreed to conduct, so consider us first class passengers and here for the duration of this inevitably runaway journey.
Chloe announced the news herself on her Instagram grid on Tuesday 10 September shortly after attending the MAFS UK 2024 premiere in Leicester Square.
To accompany a series of stunning red carpet snaps, Chloe wrote, 'GUYSSS 😭 it’s official!! I am the OFFICIAL HOST OF THE @e4mafsuk ITS OFFICIAL PODCAST!! Coming to you live and direct every Thursday on your TELLY ALSO!!!! 😭 PINNCCHHHH MEEEEEEEE!!!! I can’t wait to get started and join the MAFS family!! 💖💖💖💖💖 also love you forever @e4grams.
Can anyone else actually hear Chloe when reading this? Queen.
We're not quite sure what Chlo means by 'on your TELLY ALSO', but we're guessing the series is going to be filmed for YouTube, too.
Chloe is best known for appearing on Love Island in 2021. She's gone on to work as a social media influencer, an ambassador for JD women, a podcast host and TV personality. Basically, she's winning at life.
She took part in Love Island 2021 and was one of the OG bombshells. Chloe coupled up with a few different people during her stint in the villa. First she was with Aaron Francis for a hot sec before moving onto Hugo Hammond.
But it wasn't long before Toby Aromolaran caught Chloe's eye and she jumped ship, although they went their separate ways thanks to Toby's wandering eye. She had a short dalliance with Dale Mehmet in Casa Amor, before returning to the arms of Toby and they ended up coming in second behind Millie Court and Liam Reardon.
MAFS UK returns to E4 on Monday 16 September at 9pm, so don't ask us to come to any Monday evening events for the foreseeable.
