It’s no secret that we’re huge fans of both Married At First Sight and The Traitors, so we were THRILLED when MAFS UK 2023 bride Erica Roberts and The Traitors series one winner Meryl Williams became besties and launched a podcast last year.
The first season of the podcast came to an end last month, with Erica and Meryl promising that season two was ‘coming soon’. However, in a shock turn of events, the pair have decided not to continue with the podcast after falling out.
Erica revealed the unexpected news in a series of social media posts over the weekend as she opened up about her ‘friendship breakup’ from Meryl.

‘There’s a lot that’s happened, there’s a lot that’s went on. I don’t want to speak badly about anyone so I’m not going to go into that, but I just to want to let you guys know there is currently no longer a podcast,’ Erica told her TikTok followers.
‘We were both kind of unsure about what was happening and if there was still going to be a podcast, but now we’re pretty definitely sure there isn’t going to be a podcast anymore.’
She added, ‘There’s no friendship, there’s no podcast.’

In a separate video, Erica – who split from MAFS boyfriend Jordan Gayle last year – opened up about why ‘friendship breakups are harder and more difficult than romantic breakups’.
Although she insisted ‘losing people isn’t always a bad thing’, the reality star revealed that having a ‘small circle’ allowed her to have ‘much deeper and personal’ friendships.

She opened up about ‘outgrowing’ some of her former pals and told her followers, ‘I’m too old for negativity, toxicity [and] drama. I’m not here for it.’
Erica added, ‘I am fiercely loyal to the people in my life and sometimes you don’t get that energy back.
‘You just have to see it as a blessing as removing the wrong people from your life is only going to make room for the right people.’
