Although she only lasted 13 days in the villa, Love Island 2023 star Zara Lackenby-Brown is definitely one of the brightest stars to come from the current series of the ITV2 show.

Now that she’s back in the outside world, Zara has been making major moves in both her personal and professional life.

Not only is she now dating fellow Islander (and total fitlord) Jordan Odofin after they coupled up outside of the show, but Zara has also revealed plans for a surprising new career.

The London lass worked as a model and dancer before entering the villa and even starred in music videos for the likes of Aitch and Tion Wayne, but now it seems that she’s branching out and releasing music of her own.

Zara made the revelation during a recent appearance alongside Jordan on the Reality with Will Njobvu podcast when the subject of the Islanders’ future together was brought up.

“I’ve seen TikToks. People are like, ‘Are they gonna have kids? Marriage?’ You’re saying slow down, but that’s personally something I would like to see. I’m just putting it out there,” host Will told the pair.

But Zara’s clearly not wanting to settle down yet and is focused on her career as she quickly replied, “I’ve got music to drop. I’ve got things to do.

“You know what I’m saying? I don’t want babies right now.”

Hang on a minute, music? Who knew Zara was a musician? She definitely kept that one quiet in the villa.

Although this is the first we’ve heard of Zara’s musical credentials, she actually graduated from the University of Portsmouth with a BA in Musical Theatre in 2018.

On her StarNow profile, Zara writes, “I’m trained in classical singing, R&B and soul.”

If only she’d been in the villa for the talent show. We’d definitely have rather seen Zara belting out a tune than Casey O’Gorman’s woeful trumpet playing.
