We have to confess, this is not the Love Island news we thought we would be writing up on a Monday morning.

Especially after the dramatic episode of Love Island 2024 we were provided with last night; did they REALLY have to broadcast the clip of Mimii Ngulube waiting on the terrace for Ayo Odukoya? It was awkward enough the first time around.

Anyway, it turns out that while Joey Essex is busy stirring the pot, a former fellow controversial Islander has only gone and announced they are expecting a baby.

Bombshell and bad boy Adam Collard, who was the first contestant to take part in Love Island twice, took to social media to confirm the news.

We will give you a moment to process this information.

Sharing a pic of their (adorable) doggo and a baby scan photo, Adam and his partner Laura Woods added the caption "Hey, baby 💕" to the pic.

The Geordie lad first starred on the show back in 2018, where he was an absolute menace and broke the hearts of several girlies including Rosie Williams and Kendall Rae Knight.

Adam returned to the series in 2022 and had the nation gagged when he was announced as a bombshell, including his ex Zara McDermott, whose boyfriend Sam Thompson filmed her reaction in a hilarious Instagram story.

Adam left the show in a couple with Paige Thorne but the duo split after rumours of infidelity and the whole #nuggetgate saga.

Fast forward to now and Adam is all loved up with TV presenter Laura, who he began dating in October 2023.

The couple aren't allowing people to comment on the post, but that hasn't stopped fans from sharing their thoughts on other social media outlets.

One person tweeted, "Adam Collard is about to be a dad?????????? #loveisland" with another writing, "Laura Woods being pregnant by Adam Collard from Love Island’s baby was not on my 2024 Bingo Card."

Honestly, same hun, but then again a TOWIE star being this year's first Love Island bombshell also wasn't on our bingo card so we're not surprised by anything anymore.
