Just a reminder that we're heat, okay? Our tongues perpetually live in our cheeks; as such, we like to think we can find the fun in almost anything. So if we can't see it in your 'joke' - we're probably entering 'ick' territory.
An example? Well, Love Island's Mitch Taylor projectile vomiting out shade and tea on a podcast = fun. Sharon Osbourne coming for Amanda Holden on X = fun. Kimberly Walsh spilling secret Girls Aloud reunion tea = fun.
Now, an Islander seemingly taking a swipe at his All Stars ex in an equal parts crude and cringey af way = ICK.
Before we go off on one, we will preface this by saying we might have missed some sort of in-joke in this piece of content – courtesy of Love Island 2016 star turned All Star Adam Maxted – but sadly, we just don't think we have.
Basically, during our morning peruse of celebrity socials, we stumbled across Adam's Instagram story, which we almost tapped right past as it was yet more workout content from the All Stars bombshell, but we noticed a video of him thrusting on the hip thrust machine (we had to Google that) strangely grasping and spanking the air.
Then we read the accompanying comment (fair warning, here comes the 'ick'). It read, "When she's just a distant memory."
What an 'ick' head.
While Adam doesn't name the ex in question, his last ex was, of course, Love Island 2019 turned All Star Arabella Chi and while the Islanders are now apparently civil following their split, we just can't see the funny side here – and we've watched it (in utter disbelief) many times now. At least the last time he admitted to missing his ex, the declaration was a tad more tasteful.
Adam was also briefly linked to Liberty Poole following an event after an insider told The Sun, “Liberty and Adam got on like a house on fire.
“They were flirting all night and really enjoying each other’s company. They left Molly’s Boohoo launch together and headed back to Adam’s new place together.”
If we're being honest, we've been rendered speechless by this and that almost never happens here at heat HQ. Let's just hope whoever Adam is referring to is in on the joke here because, yeah, hard 'ick' if not.
We genuinely feel like dropping Anton Danyluk a DM to get him to give Adam one of his 'there's no such thing as bro code' speeches.
Swoon.
