Life doesn’t feel the same when there’s no Love Island on the air. We’re currently in that dull lingo between Love Island 2024 and the next series of All Stars – can it top the first series? We’ll unfortunately have to wait until January to find out.
So, what’s left to do except obsess over the successful love stories of the past? Tasha Ghouri, who’s currently tearing up the dance floor on Strictly Come Dancing, found love with Andrew Le Page on Love Island 2022, and the pair have gone from strength to strength since their meet-cute, even getting matching tattoos. If that doesn’t mean forever, what does?
Molly Smith found love not once, but twice, meeting Callum Jones on Love Island 2020 and then winning All Stars with her current beau, Tom Clare. The pair are so loved up that they’ve even bought a house together, not a bad way to spend their cash prize.
However, one of our favourite All Stars couples has got to be Sophie Piper and Joshua Ritchie, who are still- thankfully- going strong.
We sat down with Rochelle Humes to discuss her new partnership with Dylon detergent, as if the woman isn’t busy enough. She told us, ‘I'm very particular before committing to work with somebody. When we first agreed to do a partnership together, I did a day at their HQ, and I looked at the science behind it before I then trialled it for a while, and it's actually mind-blowing. They sent at me a lovely parcel, and the other day my mum stole it, she was like, “Oh great, I’ll have that!”’ This is a dream collaboration for Rochelle, who has become known for her chic outfits on This Morning, and she’s passionate about taking care of her clothes. ‘I hold on to pieces for quite a long time, and I try to get good with clearing out. But then there are those pieces that you go, “I just can't get rid of it”. They're the things that I really try to take care of best as I can. And typically, I would have sent them to the dry cleaners or just looked after them a little bit better, because they were like investments to me, but now Dylon have answered all my prayers.’
And of course, being heat, we had to ask about her little sister’s current romance. Rochelle said to us, ‘She’s very happy with him, which I'm very happy about. They're doing well. And she’s really herself with him, I see him loads on FaceTime and she spends quite a lot of time up north.
'She's really silly, stupid, playful Sophie with him, which, when I've seen her date people in the past, she's not been. I do quite like to see that.’
Is there any higher praise than the seal of approval from THE Rochelle Humes? That sounds like there will undoubtedly be more double dates in the future.
Rochelle left us with one more piece of wisdom, ‘Normally at this point, doesn't it all go south for Love Island couples? And yet they seem really nice together. I'm happy for her.’
