Just as this year's series of Love Island comes to an end – with Mimii Ngulube and Josh Sunday Oyinsan being crowned queen and king of the villa – a different fan fave couple are apparently on the rocks and we will need some time to process this devastating news.
When we say 'on the rocks' we mean they have unfollowed each other on social media and in this day and age that's practically filing for divorce.
The couple in question is Love Island 2023 runners up, Whitney Adebayo and Lochan Nowacki, and our hearts are breaking as we type these words out.
The duo came in second place on last year's season of the dating show, losing out to Sammy Root and Jess Harding who won the show and subsequently split weeks later.
Whitney and Lochan were a popular duo on the romance reality TV show and fans were sure the couple were going to win their season and take home the £50k but Sammy and Jess snuck in at the last minute and won the audience over.
Fast forward to a year later and it looks as though the couple are not as happy as Larry as we all thought - or at least that's what their social media pages are telling us as they no longer follow each other on Instagram. It's giving Splitsville.
We're not the only ones living in panic that one of our fave reality TV couples have gone their separate ways as everyone over on X are currently losing their goddamn minds.
One person wrote, "Please don’t let it be true," with another tweeting, "I need Whitney and Lochan to fix whatever this is by tonight. I can't handle this."
But what is throwing us is that we bumped into Whit and Lochan at last night's National Reality TV Awards (Wednesday 31 July) and the duo were looking all loved up.
We chatted to the bombshell who seemed more than up for having a cute little double date with her and bae, Lochan, Mimii and Josh.
"Yeah, why not?" She grinned when we asked her about the potential meet up, "I love Mimii, I'd love to see her vibe in person."
And with those final words we are hoping it is all just a mini lovers' tiff rather than a full on break up.
