We love a bit of self-care and all this time at home has really given us an excuse to look after ourselves inside and out. Each week, we'll be asking the celeb lot to share their Sunday self-care routines, because taking care of yourself is more important than ever.

This week, it's all about Jacqueline Jossa, the actress, tv-star, clothing ambassador and mega-babe who makes social media a little bit more er, REAL.

She's best-known for playing Lauren Branning on EastEnders and being crowned Jungle Queen in 2019's I'm A Celebrity. She's also one ofIn The Style's veteran ambassadors, with a record-breaking clothing collab that sold out in just SIX MINUTES. Phew.

Jac is working with Superdrug to raise awareness around the Health and Beautycard as they celebrate their 10 year anniversary. Make sure you check out all the wondrous benefits of keeping one in your purse further down below.

To celebrate this momentous occasion, Jac talks self-care routines, skincare favourites and why you need to cull your social media account...

On self-care Sundays

JAC jossa

Jac tells heat, that she loves a bit of self-care and a big ol' pamper sesh is her favourite pastime.

Describing her ultimate routine, she says, "I would definitely put the phone away, watch a film maybe, definitely have a bath, exfoliate, smother myself in all the oils, moisturisers, body creams, hair mask face mask, tan you name it, absolutely everything."

Fake tan-wise, Jac is a huge fan ofBPerfect Cosmetics x Jac Jossa 1 Hour Express Mousse

Jac adds, "You know that moment where you just sit in the towel for ages? It's my favourite thing ever. Just sit in a towel naked for half an hour and just smother yourself in all the creams you can, that's what I love to do."

Name a better Sunday, tbh.

On favourite budget beauty buys

"I use this every other day this is like the face mist from my BPerfect range, but honestly it's the best thing I've ever been a part of, I absolutely love it. You know like when you come up with something new and you hope it's good? This is actually a game-changer for me because you wake up looking like you've just been on holiday. I literally just spray it before I go to bed.

"Some of my friends dab, they get a tanning mitt and blend it, but I don't even do that, I literally just spray all over the face and go to bed."

On the joys of Superdrug's Health and Beauty card

JAC JOSSA

"I decided to work with Superdrug because I've always shopped there and it's always a fun trip when you go there. Who remembers Miss Sporty?! I used to visit my local Superdrug with friends at the weekend and stand there for ages picking out a new pastel nail colour in their iconic round bottles, and then when Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse launched, I was obsessed.

"With the Health and Beauty card, you get points for everything you buy which means eventually you're going to get some free stuff. There are member discounts as well. It's just a no brainer and just having it in your purse means absolutely nothing. There's also an app so you don't even need the actual card nowadays. You get free delivery when you sign up, so I mean, why wouldn't you?"

WHY WOULDN'T YOU. Search 'Superdrug' in your phone's app store and thank us later.

On talking to herself

Jac Jossa

Meditation is huge news right now, with anybody and everybody singing the praises of the Headspace app. Is Jac into meditating? Short answer, no, but she has a different way to feel zen...

"I don't have time really to meditate. I take naps when I can, I love a nap. Again, my bath time is my quiet time, I don't really like listen to music in the bath. I usually do it when the kids are in bed, so there's a lot of silence in the house. I just listen to the water like running, I get in while it's half done and let the water run.

"I always talk to myself. I don't think that that's weird, I think that's really helpful because you're with your own thoughts, and you just sort of talk about how you're feeling, I think that's really important and I often just do that in the bath as well.

"Whenever I'm annoyed, I'll have an argument in my head or out loud in the bath and then I realise like, 'ooh, I'm glad I didn't have that argument in real life' because I would have said something that I shouldn't have or I'll regret. I sort of analyse it before, I think it's really important."

Forever the actress 👏🏻.

On mood-boosting music

Jac Jossa

We asked Jac if she had any books or podcasts recommendations, but she explains how she much prefers to whack on a Disney playlist.

"If there was a time to have a podcast on I would prefer to have music on. I literally just listen to musical theatre and Disney and everyone hates me for it. Like, I could be going out for a night out and everyone's ready for their dance music and I'm there listening to Les Mis crying my eyes out! But it actually just helps me, I just love it."

Her favourite musical of all time? Jac replies, "Blood Brothers, but I don't know about the music. Blood Brothers is my favourite musical of all time. That would be my dream role, Mrs Johnstone when I'm older, 100%. I think I could listen to the Les Mis soundtrack continuously, it's so very different."

On culling your social media

Jac Jossa

Although Jac admits, "the jungle was the best month ever because I didn't have a phone", she does also like "a good scroll" and believes Instagram can be a great place to raise awareness and spread positivity. The secret is choosing inspiring people to follow.

"You've definitely got to have a cull sometimes. Sometimes I think, 'why am I feeling so negative or aggressively jealous?' or 'Why am I calling myself fat all the time? Then I'm like, 'Oh, it's because I'm following all these really tiny models that literally go to hot countries just to take pictures in bikinis', which is great for them. But it's not filling me with joy. They should absolutely continue doing what they're doing, I shouldn't moan about it, I should just unfollow if it's not filling me with joy. So I just unfollow it. And because there are some people in the world that love to see all that because they have the ambition to be like them, but I don't. And you start feeling better.

"I follow people that are more inspiring to me and make me feel better. I'm like, 'Oh my gosh, she looks amazing in that dress and she's a size 16 and looks unreal'. I then think, 'I'm actually quite fit! She's fit, I'm fit' and I feel better about myself.

"Just monitor who you follow. If you're watching someone that all they do is talk about is 'oh, I've got another Mulberry bag' it's just not entertaining or fulfiling my desires. Because it can be a really good place, just making it a great place for you. That's also important to me. I want to be the person on social media that other people go and enjoy following you because you get your rolls out when you can, you don't edit your photos to extremes and you show yourself with no make-up on from time to time.

"Though I am trying to be better at that because sometimes it's like 'Jesus Christ, woman, make an effort!" I'm there in odd socks and it really offends me. But sometimes you do forget that there are that many people following you. Sometimes I'm like, 'Oh my God, all my mess and my ironing in the background' and you don't realise people actually see it. Sometimes, again, it's that talking to yourself. That's what Instagram is."

On taking photos with your kids

Jac Jossa

"When we do our InTheStyle shoots, I feel like a 10/10, because you've got the dress, you've got the glam, you've got the hair, you've got the photographer, you've got the lighting, but they're not always there. Like that is literally 1% of my life, so I can't just post pictures like that. I make sure I post pictures of me and my kids and I never wear make-up with them, ever. I post pictures of me with my hair up in a bun and whatever else. I don't really care, I've never ever been embarrassed about any of that. I'm quite comfortable in my skin.

"I don't want to wake up one day when I'm seventy and look back and go, 'why didn't I get in pictures with my kids? I was fit then, I'm wrinkly and I've got grey hair now!'

"Because you always beat yourself up so much and it's like, 'actually no, honey, you're still really really fit, you ain't getting no better!' You're gonna get older and it's gonna get worse for you, hun. Embrace it right now. Be in every picture with your kids because you'll regret it. They won't ever say, 'mummy, you look a bit fat there, or mummy, you've got a little roll hanging there' They never say that. They're gonna go, 'I remember that day, we went to the beach, it was so good'. This is gonna get deep but one day, the photo is all they're going to have so you got to make sure you're in them all."

Did anyone else just get CHILLS or? You heard the lady. Get in every single photo from this day forth. Your older self will thank you.
