As much as think we would THRIVE taking part in Love Island, when we catch up with former contestants they sometimes make us doubt how well we would really do on the dating show.
Sure, there is the whole free holiday, sunbathing, wearing cute AF free clothes and hanging out with hotties 24/7, but there is also everything else that comes with it.
The constant scrutiny from social media, the producers' involvement, being dumped live on telly, those tediously long fire pit moments and the endless risk of your villa besties (or lover) being booted out.
Anton Danyluk – who knows all to well how hellish life on Love Island can be having taking part in season five as well as the All Stars spin-off – recently revealed which moments left him feeling "helpless".
This week, the returning Islander invited his 'wife' Hannah Elizabeth on the What's the Crack? podcast he hosts with mum, Sherie Ann, and naturally the OGs chatted about their time on the romance reality TV show.
Just like Anton, Hannah returned to the villa for a second chance at love but unlike Anton she didn't make it to the final.
In fact, the season one alumni was dumped from All Stars, alongside Tyler Cruickshank, pretty early on and it turns out Anton did NOT handle it well.
"I felt so helpless," he confessed, "I couldn’t even look at you, it was so horrible."
Hannah ended up being booted off the show at that stage as the lads had to pick which girl to send packing and the girls had to pick which fella to be rid of.
Although Hannah was liked by everybody on the show, as well as the public, she didn't have a spark with any of the boys and was dumped.
Anton made it to the final of All Stars on the arm of Georgia Harrison, although since the show came to an end the couple have reportedly split.
Despite "feeling down," Anton has turned to Hannah for a shoulder to cry on, confessing on the podcast that Hannah "makes you smile, make you happy."
Awww, it's giving friends to lovers. Just saying.
