The new series of Made in Chelsea is set to return this autumn and when we compare this season's cast to the one from a few years back there is barely a familiar face in sight.

No more Ollie Locke-Locke who quit the show to focus on parenthood, Emily Blackwell rocks up every so often to offer some advice but is all loved up with fiancee Jordan Alexander and, of course, Liv Bentley recently said, "see ya Chelsea."

One person who has been around for a few years is Tristan Phipps.

The safari guide turned reality TV star has been a firm fixture in the world of Bellinis and Bluebird since 2018 and has been in some key MIC dramz.

One of Tristan's heaviest storylines was probably the demise of his romance with Liv, which saw the couple's six year relationship come crashing down right in front of our very eyes.

Since the couple called it a day, Liv dated David 'Temps' Templerand shared a holiday fling during the cast trip to Bondi, before eventually quitting MIC.

As for Tristan, the South African has had a few, including a fiery affair with American Lauren Sintès and a short-lived dalliance with newbie Julia 'Muffin' Pollard.

Nothing seems to have stuck for Tristan since him and Liv parted ways and the reality TV star has finally opened up about the relationship, ahead of his stint on Celebs Go Dating.

"I think sometimes loving someone is not enough," Tristan revealed in an interview with OK!

"There has been love but maybe there hasn’t been compatibility," he continued.

"My last relationship, we wanted to go in different directions," he went on. "When we first met, great. It was lockdown, but then as you start to grow, you grow apart."

Although Tristan is hoping that the panel of dating experts will be able to give him tips on finding The One he did hint that maybe Liv was just that...

"I do believe right person and wrong time," he admitted and yes that is our hearts you can hear breaking.

WATCH: Watching your brother’s relationship play out on TV can be awkward… 🫣😂
