We all know that there are countless perks to taking part in Love Island but it didn't even cross our minds that partying with Stormzy was one of them.
A holiday for one seems like the top reason to head off to the Spanish or South-African villa, the possibility of meeting the love of you life like Cara de la Hoydeand Nathan Massey is a close second, not to mention all the cute clothes available and the readily prepared delish food.
But a night out with Stormzy and potentially Maya Jama? That trumps all of those potential benefits. Honestly, get us on a a plane pronto.
Recently dumped All Stars Islanders Chris Taylor and Joanna Chimonides were guests on the most recent episode of heat's Under the Duvet podcast where they chatted to Chris's bestie Harriet Rose about their, erm, turbulent Love Island experience.
The duo lifted the lid on what the hell is going on between Molly Smith and Callum Jones, as well as a villa 'betrayal.'
Naturally, Harriet also demanded Chris talk us through what the hell went down with Stormzy at the Love Island final and, of course, we are glad she did.
"In the final... You just told me you met Stormzy."
Casual, as if meeting one of the most successful rappers in the world is just the norm. We suppose Chris and Joanna are part of the 'All Stars' brigade of Islanders and not just the regular run-of-the-mill contestants.
"Yeah, no, I met Stormzy," Chris reiterated which is an oxymoron but he was probably jet-lagged so we will let it pass, "He was sat at the mini fire-pit and I spotted him."
Chris continued, "Usually the production are telling us what we can do and where we can move and stuff like that and I was like 'F**k this, I'm just going to go and say hello to him.'"
Not Chris defying the ITV producers in order to chinwag with Stormzy – we love to see it.
"After the whole Ryan Gosling thing, I never said hello to him and it haunts me to this day, I got too scared and that is never happening to me again," Chris explained.
Anyone who is anyone knows that Chris starred in the Barbie movie alongside Ryan Gosling and Margot Robbie but apparently he missed the chance to chat with the Canadian actor and regrets it to this day. Fair.
"I just went straight over and said, 'Hey Mr Stormzy, I love you work, you're great.' I gave him a handshake and told him that every time I see a real, real famous person I absolutely cack my pants and I don't say anything like with the Ryan Gosling thing and we were laughing."
We all know that Stormzy is a Love Island fan, even before his bae Maya Jama brought sexy back to the series. Remember when he tweeted about Chris Hughes and Olivia Attwood back in 2017? His infamous "Chris, you're too good for her mate," tweet appeared on the series in one of the challenges and caused absolute havoc.
Speaking of, Love Island producers, we are BEGGING you to please bring that challenge back.
Chris finished up the story by declaring, "Then I said enjoy your night sir and I walked off."
