It’s been an eventful year so far for former Made in Chelsea star Sam Thompson, who has thrown himself into work hosting podcast Staying Relevant with bezzie pal Pete Wicks and his Hits Radio show, as well as presenting on TV shows like This Morning, in the wake of his split from Love Island 2018 bombshell turned documentary maker Zara McDermott.
However, it’s not just Sam’s career that’s keeping him busy. Not only is the I’m A Celeb winner preparing to take on a whopping five marathons next month in aid of UNICEF, but he’s also rumoured to be throwing himself back into dating and was recently pictured sharing a kiss with Love Island: All Stars 2025’s Samie Elishi.

Ahead of his gruelling challenge, Match Ball Mission for UNICEF’s Soccer Aid, Sam has been spending plenty of time in the gym and fans couldn’t help but comment on his ‘glow up’ when he took to Instagram to show off his new haircut over the weekend.
Sam could be seen sporting a new mullet in a series of snaps he posted of himself hanging out with his sister Louise Thompson’s husband Ryan Libbey and son Leo and chilling in bed with his cat and the compliments quickly came rolling in when he shared them on Instagram.
One fan wrote, ‘Beautiful photos. What a lovely uncle you are. Great haircut!’

Another added, ‘The post breakup glow up is GIVING,’ while a third commented, ‘You look great, Sam! Better than ever. Glad you got rid of those globe highlights.’
Is it just us or is Sam’s new hairdo giving major Sam Taylor vibes? If you ask us, he looks the spitting image of the Love Island 2024 OG who was cruelly dumped on day two when Joey Essex coupled up with Samantha Kenny. Side note: how was that A YEAR ago?

MIC legend Sam recently spoke exclusively to heat about looking hotter than ever as the result of regular workouts and some serious ‘me time’ and he admitted he’s ‘living his best life’.
‘I just felt like new year, new me and I tried to make more of an effort,’ he told us. ‘A haircut here, gym session there and get out into the sunlight more. I feel really, really good.’
