When it comes to Love Island, there are some things we’ve just come to expect every time a new series comes around.
There’s going to be a least one Islander with a famous parent à la Gemma Owen, Dani Dyer and Jack Keating, approximately 5674 love triangles like ‘Messy’ Mitch Taylor, Abi Moores and Ella Barnes, oh, and one unfortunate Casa Amor bombshell who receives around 30 seconds of screen time despite being the villa for almost a week.
We always feel sorry for whoever gets the Casa Amor ‘disappearing act’ edit as they’re usually only seen when they’re entering and leaving the show. Remember Lynda Flix, who this happened to on winter Love Island 2023?
ICYMI, Lynda joined Casa Amor as a bombshell alongside Cynthia Otseh-Taiwo, Lydia Karakyriakou, Sammy James, Layla Al-momani and eventual winner Sanam Harrinanan but failed to make a splash before being dumped from the island just three days later.
Viewers were quick to point out that Lynda received hardly any airtime during her whirlwind stay in the villa, with one taking to social media to write, “Nahh Love Island has done Lynda dirty how have I not seen her on my screen once.”
Another added, “Wait… where the hell is Lynda?! She's been missing since the girls entered the villa.”
Despite failing to find love on the ITV2 dating show, things are looking up for Lynda in the outside world as she’s just revealed she’s going a new boyfriend – and spoiler alert: he’s HOT.
Lynda recently shared a video of herself and her new man on TikTok with the caption, “You’ll never find love after Love Island they said…”
She added, “There is love outside love island 🙊 #foundlove #loveisland #couple.”
Although she’s yet to reveal all the juicy deets about her new boyfriend, Lynda’s followers were thrilled to see her looking so loved up.
“Awww so happy for you 💕💕,” wrote one, while another commented, “OMG she found someone.”
Since she left Love Island, Lynda has been working on her music career and it seems things are looking up both personally and professionally as she recently teased she’ll be releasing some new music.
