In a world of summer Love Island, Love Island: All Stars and Love Island Games, it can be hard to stand out from the crowd – especially if you're ALL undeniable 10s. But, if you ask us, one way to do achieve this is to be just like Love Island 2023 bombshell/series legend, Whitney Adebayo.
From start to finish bombshell Whit was a unequivocal slay; she delivered memorable one-liners for weeks on end, wasn't afraid to read Islanders to filth, was a girl's girl at heart, and above all, remained true to who she was.
That's why Whitney made it to the final, is still with her LI honey Lochan Nowacki, and lives rent free in heat's thoughts over a year on as one of our fave Love Island girlies.
To this day, Whitney is still not afraid to speak the truth and tell it exactly how it is without the filter of PR or management and more of this from stars and role models in the public eye, PLEASE.
If she wants to say it, our Whit will say it and BOY did she say it in a recent TikTok.
While taking part in TikTok's 'Suspect Challenge' with her Love Island co-star and pal Scott van-der-Sluis, the topic of Love Island friends was casually brought up (as well as exes and career moves – it's all pretty savage and definitely worth a watch).
Scott claimed that he was Whitney's only remaining friend from Love Island 2023; a pretty bold statement considering Whitney pretty much got on with everyone and was particularly close to Ella Thomas, Catherine Agbaje and, of course, her now boyfriend Lochan.
As part of the challenge, Scott said, 'Suspect thinks she's popular, but I'm the only friend she has on Love Island.'
Savage, but historically, this kind of humour is at the core of Scott and Whitney's friendship.
Whitney then responded with, '...and Lochan'.
We had a feeling these Love Island girlies had drifted apart, but this is the first time we've heard any of them say they actually weren't friends anymore.
To be fair, though, this is hardly the first time the girls have spoken out about growing apart. During a Q&A with fans in September 2023, Whitney admitted, 'Yeah [I did make lifelong friends in the villa]. I see one or two probably lasting the long-run.'
Then, of course, there's what Ella said about Whitney on The Zeze Millz Show in December 2023.
'How are you and Whitney now? Are you guys cool?' Zeze asked.
Were we hoping Ella would reveal they were moving in together and BFF4L? Sure.
Is that what she replied with? Not quite.
'Yeah cool, no issue,' Ella replied, 'but we're not as close as we were in the villa.'
And a year on, it seems they're now not close at all. To be fair, it's called Love Island, not Friend Island.
