Made in Chelsea has to be one of our favourite reality shows of all time, and the current cast definitely manage to stir up plenty of dramatic plot lines — Ruby Adler and Reza Amiri-Garroussi’s on-again off-again relationship, Yasmine Zweegers and Sam Prince’s controversial romance, and Miles Nazaire hasn’t met a cast member he doesn’t fancy yet.
However, we can’t help but miss the glory days of early MIC seasons. It gave us Spencer Matthews and Louise Thompson’s fiery break up, Gabriella Ellis’ love ballads, and of course, Lucy Watson’s grill. Another intense storyline back in the early days was Sam Thompson and Tiff Watson’s stormy relationship, which played out of a number of seasons.
Sam and Tiff struck up a romance shortly after she joined the show in 2014, and the pair dated on and off for three years. The relationship was far from smooth sailings, with them both being unfaithful on multiple occasions.
Nowadays, their relationship is but a distant memory. Sam now co-hosts Staying Relevant with TOWIE alum Pete Wicks, and Tiff's expecting her second baby with footballer husband Cameron McGeehan.
When heat caught up with Tiff, we obviously had to ask how she feels about the whole world knowing all the ins and outs of her turbulent relationship.
Tiff said, ‘Looking back, it was really intense. Sharing the ups and downs of my relationship with Sam on the show was really hard. Our relationship wasn’t healthy or functional in any form. I was very young then and I thought it was just part of being in your 20’s – but now I know it was just all too much, and I shouldn’t have let our relationship play out on screen in the way it did. It became all too intrusive.’
Tiff left the show shortly after their final split in 2017. She revealed, ‘The reason I stepped away in 2017 was because I was so stressed with the breakup, I couldn’t face filming with Sam or be near his friends. I needed a full-on break.’
So, where do the pair stand now?
Tiff told heat, ‘I haven’t seen Sam since 2021 at Lucy’s wedding. He’s met my husband and there’s no bad blood between us now so if we met in the street we would of course talk. I had met with Zara [McDermott] socially and we chat on social media. I don’t even know whether it’s true Sam and Zara have actually broken up – it’s all a little confusing. In a way I hope Sam finds some happiness.’
