heatworld recently caught up with Love Island faves Chris Taylor and Kaz Kamwi for the first time since their stint on All Stars and oh how we wish all interviews could be this cute, wholesome and yet somehow equally juicy.
Chris and Kaz might not have found love in the All Stars villa earlier this year, but they've certainly found themselves booked and blessed in the exciting weeks that have followed. For this chinwag, they were helping Sky Cinema and NOW spread the word that Barbie (a movie Chris was actually in, btw) is is now available to watch for all existing Sky Cinema customers at no extra cost (which is literally us sorted until the next pay day); we say helping, the movie giants sent these two stunners on a romantic trip on a boat fit for, well, Barbie.
As well as letting us know how Georgia Steel and Toby Aromolaran are doing post break-up, whether they know anyone going on Love Island 2024 (they don't, but apparently Toby knows a few potentials), we had to catch up on their individual love lives.
The last time we caught up with Chris he was still looking pretty cosy with fellow All Star Joanna Chimonides in our studios (see video below). The pair were coupled up in the villa after Chris had his head turned by Joanna while coupled up with Arabella Chi. However, after a few days, Joanna started to get the dreaded 'ick' – while also momentarily having her head turned by Josh Ritchie – creating tension in the relationship.
Naturally, we had to ask how things were with Joanna now. Were they still taking it slow? Were they secretly dating IRL? Or had it fizzled out like 99 percent of Love Island dalliances?
We've got the tea (obv), but sadly it's the latter - Chris and Joanna are no more, in fact, according to Chris it ended rather "abruptly" once they returned to the UK from South Africa.
Chris exclusively told heatworld, "Me and Joanna called it quits pretty quick after we came back to be fair. It was just like, a friendship vibe."
He continued, "Everyone’s really busy, so I kind of just messaged her and said, ‘Look, let’s both be mates.’ I didn’t want to put any pressure on it, we both had other stuff going on. So yeah, that came to quite an abrupt end."
But don't worry, loves, the former couple as still friends, "But we’re friendly, which is nice. I think that’s the main thing about Love Island; relationships don’t always come from it, but you do get a lot of friendships."
The news comes days after finalists Georgia S confirmed that her and Toby Aromolaran were no more, shortly before Callum Jones and Jess Gale called it quits.
Oh well, who knows, maybe this is the beginning of Chris and Kaz's love story. Talking of their Barbie boat 'date', Chris told heatworld, "It was a great day, actually, so obviously we went on the boat to do the Barbie and Ken scene when they go into the real world and it was a bloody lovely day. It was very Barbie-esque, very pink and joyous and they let us drive the boat which was pretty sick. All in all, it was a fantastic day. Kaz’s experience of driving the boat was slightly more terrifying than mine."
He continued, "In my eyes it was a date. There was nibbles, there was drinks…
"It was basically like if Love Island had budget what the dates would be like."
