We’re all in agreement that the best series of Love Island is Love Island 2019, right?

After all, it introduced us all to the absolute icons that are Molly-Mae Hague, Amber Gill, Maura Higgins and Ovie Soko and provided memorable moments like Anna Vakili confronting Jordan Hames over his flirty chat with India Reynolds two days (‘TWO DAYS’) after he made her his girlfriend.

Another big storyline from the series was the love triangle between Danny Williams, Arabella Chi and Yewande Biala, but although he was a huge part of one of the most popular reality shows, Danny has claimed that appearing on Love Island ‘harmed’ his career.

Before entering the villa, Danny was a model and had worked for big brands like ASOS. However, while starring on Love Island has skyrocketed some contestants to fame, he says that the show had the opposite effect for him.

‘In 2019 my modelling career hit rock bottom… I went on reality TV and it did way more harm than good,’ Danny wrote on social media.

‘I lost all my clients, and I had to start again from zero.’

But since then, Danny has managed to get things back and track and now mentors upcoming models on navigating the pitfalls of the industry.

He continued, ‘Fast forward to 2024 and I’m back doing what I love, a career which allows me to get paid to travel, work with cool creatives and connect with global brands.”

It’s alright for some, isn’t it?

Speaking about his new role, Danny said, “It’s some of the most rewarding work I’ve ever done in my life.”

Things are going swimmingly for the former reality star both personally and professionally as he’s loved-up with girlfriend Beckie Hughes after splitting from Love Island 2023’s Leah Taylor.

Beckie is an entrepreneur and CEO of three businesses; The Army Dance Company, transformation programme Project HERd and a clothing brand called Drip Cartel.
