Here we were thinking that the only thing you gain from taking part in Love Island is a deal with a high street fashion brand, a few extra social media followers, and an apparent new found appreciation for Hello Fresh.

Every so often they meet The One just like Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan but more often than not the fleeting summer romance turns into a bitter feud much like Georgia Steel and Toby Aromolaran, with a rather public break up.

It turns out among the PrettyLittleThing collabs and stint on Celebs Go Dating lies a career in cinema and we could offer you a million pounds and there is no way you would guess which Love Island icon is set to be starring in a proper Hollywood movie.

Drum roll please....The Islander set for the silver screen is season five finalist Tommy Fury.

Not Love Island 2022 fan fave Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu who has a history in the world of TV or Maura Higgins who has already made waves stateside, not even Luca Bish who somehow wormed his way into a MET Gala party.

Tommy Fury. As in world famous boxer and currently loved up with Molly Mae Hague, Tommy Fury.

Taking to Instagram, the cruiserweight revealed that landing the film role was, "a massive goal of mine achieved," and we'll bloody say; this might be the coolest career move from any Islander. Ever.

Tommy will be starring alongside Peaky Blinders actor Paul Anderson in a crime drama called The Debt Inherited and we're already booking recliner seats at Vue for this one.

Sharing the news on his Instagram grid, Tommy's friends and followers filled the comments section with jokes and praise for his new job.

Love Island star and fellow boxer Idris Virgo joked, "You probably be better at this than boxing 👏," with All Stars bombshell Joe Garratt showing his love through emojis, "👏👏."

Although it does seem like a rogue concept for a boxer to appear in a movie, UFC Connor McGregor received rave reviews for his part in the Roadhouse reboot where he played Knox and fingers crossed Tommy has just as much success.
