It looks like another Love Island couple has gone their separate ways and, we know we sound dramatic, but we might've just shed a tear or two over this one.

In case you missed the goss, rumour has is that Love Island 2023 finalists Tyrique Hyde and Ella Thomas are no more and it has us thinking, "What the hell is love anyway?"

We said we know we're being dramatic, okay? But logging onto social media in the hopes of seeing them create another hilarious TikTok but being greeted with news of their split instead has hit us HARD.

Just last week the duo lip-synched to Georgia Steel and Toby Aromolaran's iconic, "I'm grateful for my hair," conversation on All Stars and now Tyrique is chatting about "never letting a hard time humble us."

It's too much for a Monday, we tell you.

The footballer turned rapper also shared an image which read, "Don't cry over spilt milk," and, sorry, but nothing screams 'break up' like passive aggressive/clichéd/inspirational memes, quotes and captions.

Ella's Instagram is providing the same content as usual; hot as hell fashion fits and promo bits and pieces but it turns out that the (former)couple have unfollowed each other on the social media app and, honestly, that tells us all we need to know.

We guess Ty really did mean it when he compared himself and Ella to Lori and Damson.

FYI, if you don't know what we're talking about, in Tyrique's song he did with Drip Rick x Kannan titled "Gang shxt," Tyrique's raps, "They calling me old school handsome, me and my girl are like Lori and Damson."

As in model Lori Harvey and actor Damson Idris who also split at the end of last year.

We were hoping Tyrique just meant they were cool AF and super hot, not that they would follow in the couple's break-up footsteps.

Ella and Ty had one hell of a journey during their time in the villa but despite the drama with Ouzy See and Ty's head being turned by every single bombshell going, they made it to the final four.

Sadly, it looks as though they have joined the likes of Sammy Root and Jess Harding as another Love Island 2023 couple casualty.

At least Whitney Adebayo and Lochano Nowacki are still going strong. We will be having a few days off for mourning if those two every break up.
