Although Love Island relationships don’t always work out, one thing we can say for sure is that each series usually produces at least one iconic friendship.
Love Island 2018 gave us Dani Dyer and Samira Mighty, Love Island 2021 gave us Millie Court and Chloe Burrows, and winter Love Island 2023, of course, gave us Tom Clare and Casey O’Gorman.
Tom and Casey formed a firm friendship in the villa before moving into their south London bachelor pad together when they returned the outside world. They even appeared on Love Island for a second time together on the first ever All Stars series.
However, it seems that there’s another bromance in Tom’s life following his second stint in the villa.
During his appearance on heat’s Under the Duvet podcast – alongside fellow winner Molly Smith –, Tom gushed over fellow Islander Joshua Ritchie but admitted he wasn’t sure if they’d get on at first.
Speaking about returning to the villa, Tom told us, “I was walking in thinking, ‘There’s going to be so many people in here that I’m going to clash with.’
“I even thought I might clash with Josh, but he was my brother in there.”
Tom had high praise for his fellow All Stars Islanders and added, “I think it was a better group of people [than my first series].”
Oof, we don’t think the likes of Olivia Hawkins, Ron Hall and Will Young will be too happy about that one.
As well as his new friendship with Josh, Tom is obviously focused on his relationship with Molly (who he’s just asked to be his girlfriend, ICYMI) so it’s probably a good thing that he’s moving back up north, closer to where Molly lives.
“I wanted to move back up to Manchester, close to my family and stuff like that. So yeah, that’s my plan,” he said.
