We don’t mean to alarm you but there’s going to be another Love Island wedding as Kai Fagan has just revealed he’s popped the question to girlfriend Sanam Harrinanan.
How’s that for exciting news on this otherwise drab Monday?
Sanam and Kai became the first ever couple formed in Casa Amor to win the show last March when they were crowned winter Love Island 2023 champions and now they’ve made us fall in love with them a little bit more following Kai’s romantic proposal.
Kai took to Instagram this morning to share some gorgeous snaps of him getting down on one knee during a boat trip in Cambridge.
The pictures show Kai slipping a ring on Sanam’s finger before celebrating by popping a bottle of champagne and sealing his proposal with a kiss.
And just when we thought they couldn’t get any cuter, we read the caption.
“Introducing the next Mrs Fagan ❤️💍,” Kai wrote.
“Beautiful, caring, loving and smart are just some of the words that describe you. I love loving you, I love you and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you ❤️.”
The couple’s Love Island pals rushed to congratulate them in the comments, including fellow winter 2023 Islander Ron Hall.
Ron wrote, “😭😭😭😭 this is the best news EVER! Congratulations you two! ❤️”
Ron’s ex-girlfriend Lana Jenkins added, “Oh my god!!! Amazing news congratulations both of you!! So happy for you ❤❤❤,”while Love Island 2018’s Samira Mighty added, “Omggggggg🔥🔥🔥🔥 congratulations guys !!! Xxx.”
Even the official Love Island account got in on the action, commenting, “They grow up so fast!!! 🥹🥹🥹 Congrats 💛💛💛.”
Kai entered the villa on day one back in January 2023 and coupled up with the likes of Tanyel Revan, Anna-May Robey and Olivia Hawkins before he finally found The One in Casa Amor when Sanam walked through the doors as a bombshell.
They beat out Ron and Lana, Tom Clare and Samie Elishi and Shaq Muhammad and Tanya Manhenga in the final and have been loved up ever since, moving in together and jetting off on several romantic holidays.
