It's hard to believe that this time last year BIG Love Island names like Molly Marsh, Tyrique Hyde, 'Messy' Mitch Taylor, Whitney Adebayo and Scott van Der Sluis meant nothing to us. Nada. Zip. Zilch. Now we're nervously getting their iced matcha lattes in before interviews...
With ITV pumping out more reality series than even we can manage – we've already had Love Island: All Stars and Celebrity Big Brother this year – it's easy to forget about any specific series we once said we were 'obsessed' with.
And, let us tell you, we were OBSESSED with Love Island 2023; from Jess Harding and Sammy Root's rollercoaster love story, Mal Nicol's endless whimsy, and virtually everything that came out of Whitney's mouth – what a summer, what a time.
We were also obsessed with the love triangles last summer; Jess x Sammy x Mal, Tyrique x Ella x Ouzy See, and Mitch x Molly x Zach Noble all had us glued.
We got reminded of another Love Island 2023 love triangle recently thanks to a eye-popping post on Kady McDermott's Instagram story.
While posting content at a particularly boujie event (we THINK she was eating caviar at Claridge's, so dead posh) Kady shared a quick video of herself and finalist Ella Thomas enjoying an evening of the finer things – the very same Ella and Kady who were once in a love triangle inside the Love Island villa (well, sort of).
Remember when Ella went to Casa Amor and brought hottie Ouzy back instead of coupling up with Tyrique?
Well, Ella quickly realised the error of her ways and got back together with Tyrique. Soon after, Ouzy and Kady started hitting it off.
Both couples actually continued their relationships after the show, but Ouzy and Kady split after a few weeks.
Ella and Tyrique dated for several months after the show, but recently confirmed they'd split after break up rumours started doing the rounds online.
This means both of these Love Island queens are in their single girl era at this rather boujie bash at Claridge's.
CLARIDGE'S. Jordan Sangha and Henry Southan stay there... dead posh.
Kady originally rose to fame on Love Island 2016 and finished in third place with Scott Thomas, was hoping to find love in the villa once again, alas, it was not to be.
Kady joined the 2023 villa on day 19 and chose to couple up with Zach which resulted in Molly Marsh being dumped – absolute shocker.
But when Casa Amor week hit, Molly returned and Zach decided to couple up with her, leaving Kady a single pringle. Kady's lonely days didn't last long as she hit it off with Ouzy and the duo left the villa together on day 44 before splitting just a few weeks later.
