Love Island: Casa Amor’s WORST recoupling moments

Some of these Casa Amor moments are uncomfortable to rewatch

As much as we're obsessed with the Love Island producers whenever Casa Amor comes around - thanks to them chucking in 10/10 bombshells as well as the Islanders exes - we do always feel pure dread when it's time for the infamous recoupling.

While some Islanders get that cute, soppy reunion (Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury spring to mind), others face that gut wrenching feeling the moment they see their other half strut in with someone else.

It's peak for the Islanders but it's great TV, so we've had a look back at the worst Casa Amor moments of all time...

Liam Reardon and Millie Court - series seven

You'd think that if both Islanders are single after Casa then there would be no cause for heartache, but that was not the case for the series seven couple Liam Reardon and Millie Court.

After Liam’s wild stint in Casa, he returned to the villa alone but reality quickly dawned on him when the Casa Amor girls strutted into the main villa to tell all. Lillie Haynes admitted she was 'shocked' that she was single before revealing that Liam shared a bed with her and they were constantly kissing outside of challenges.

Millie was devastated but despite meeting up with Lillie the next day to hear all the tea, she got back with Liam and four years later, they're still together.

Tanya Manhenga and Shaq Muhammed - series nine

The series nine Casa Amor recoupling left Islanders speechless as Tanya Manhenga recoupled despite telling Shaq Muhammed that she loved him. Poor Shaq was left standing alone, shocked and disappointed. Shortly after he said, ‘I actually meant it when I said I love you, but I guess not everyone means it when they say something’. The dig cut deep for Tanya and she left the conversation saying, ‘What's meant to be, will be’.

Luckily, they managed to put it all behind them and went on to date for a year and a half before calling it quits in July 2024.

Georgia Steel and Josh Denzel - series four

One Casa Amor recoupling moment that will forever be remembered is Georgia Steel's reaction when Josh Denzel waltzed back into the villa with Kaz Crossley during series four. Georgia was visibly upset and muttered, 'He’s f--ked it. Why would you do that to me?’

Despite fans siding with Georgia, Josh and Kaz came third in the final.

Tasha Ghouri and Andrew Le Page - series eight

‘The Casa Amor girls have come in and told me exactly what she’s been saying behind my back,' these were Andrew Le Page’s words at the start of his Casa Amor recoupling speech, which ended in him recoupling with Coco Lodge.

After Tasha Ghouri walked back into the villa hand in hand with her new Casa man Billy Brown, the villa was shocked wih Andrew muttering, 'That's a f--king joke... What a shock horror, fucking hell!’

He then made several snarky comments about Tasha being fake, including ‘Four f--king weeks of f--k all.'

Oddly enough though, they managed to put that and Andrew's 'licked her tit or whatever' behind them.

Ella Thomas and Tyrique Hyde - series 10

Series 10's Ella Thomas and Tyrique Hyde had agreed to close things off prior to Casa Amor, but it’s never that simple, is it? When Ella came back to the villa she returned with Ouzy See - a former fling pre villa. Tyrique was devastated but his heartbreak didn't last for long as they reunited soon after.

Megan Barton-Hanson and Wes Nelson - series four

It’s always brutal to watch when one half of a once strong couple returns with a Casa Amor bombshell, only to have their partner walk back alone. Series four’s Casa Amor recoupling was no different when it came to Megan Barton Hanson and Wes Nelson. Megan chose to recouple with Alex Miller but poor Wes walked in alone and disappointed - they got back together and came fourth though.
